From Village and Church graveyards to the Rural and Green cemetery movements, join Rensselaer County & Troy City Historian Kathy Sheehan for an illustrated lecture on the history of cemeteries in Rensselaer County.  From early gravestones in Stephentown and Hoosick to the Celtic Crosses and elaborate statuary in Oakwood cemetery, Kathy will discuss gravestone iconography and highlight some of the famous and  and infamous “residents “ in Rensselaer County’s burial grounds.
