Artifact Donation

The Hart Cluett Museum will consider donations of artifacts that help us share Rensselaer County’s history and culture, depending on what the artifact is and our current needs.

While the preservation of historic artifacts is very important to us, please understand that we have had to put limitations on acceptance of artifacts as we have very limited archives/collection storage space and even less display space.

Please do not bring the items to the museum to donate without first contacting our curator, either through phone or email. If a donation is accepted, we will work with you on a day and time to come to the museum and make the donation in order to ensure proper cataloging and attribution.
