Tonette Seitz
Hailing all the way from the Midwest, Tonette (Toni for short) is incredibly excited to call ‘The Collar City’ her home as she steps into the role of Education Director at the Hart Cluett Museum. With a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, Toni’s passion for education and history has taken her across the globe with almost 10 years of education experience in various institutions, including as a classroom teacher in Japan and South Korea, a children’s librarian in Southeastern, Wisconsin, and now Troy. She is also no stranger to museums, having worked for several years in education and interpretation at the Wisconsin Historical Society for both Old World Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Historical Museum.
Favorite part of the Hart Cluett: Toni loves the Hart Cluett Historic House because of the all the incredible stories it holds!
Most Excited For: Toni is looking forward to leading and developing tours around Troy that highlight its deep history and beautiful architecture.
Jack Beemsterboer
Jack Beemsterboer is a recent graduate of the Cooperstown Graduate Program, where he specialized in collections management and curation. An Illinois native, Jack was drawn to Troy for its vibrant community and rich history. Jack has worked at museums of all shapes and sizes - from the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, to the New York State Museum. However, his most meaningful work experience has been at smaller institutions, like Davenport, Iowa's German-American Heritage Center. Jack is thrilled to begin a new chapter in his career at the Hart Cluett Museum as the full-time Curator and Registrar.
Favorite Part of the Hart Cluett: As a lover of all old things, Jack’s favorite spot is the Carriage House.
Most Excited for: Jack is most excited to work on further developing the Hart Cluett’s collection management systems.
